Tamiya F350 Mods! Putting RCP TLT Rear Straight adapter!
Introducing how to put TLT Rear Straight adapter to the stock high lift axle! You will have to do is just little modification to the axle, will let your axle much better than ever!!
This is what you will be end up with! Really nice looking rear axle!!
Compare the stock steering knuckle and rear straight adapter. If I could put this on to the rear axle, going to be really scale looking axle!
Take a look at the picture below, you will notice that the whole length are slightly different.
Let's start mod!!
First of all, you will need to cut down the C's! Just roughly cut off and grind them away!!
I marked with pink lines, that where you will need to cut down! Almost all the part of them are inside of the rear straight adapter, so you dont need to worry about the roughness.
I used router to cut down the C's!!
As you know from above, you will need to grind some tips of the dog bones like the picture below to fit the adapter.
There are O-ring in the axle, Length are so tight, dont forget to take them out before you put them back in!
Just reverse build what you did, put bearings to the adapter, put axle in it, then put it to the housing!!
If you have difficulty putting back, you will need to grind dog bone more to fit good!
This is it! looks really good!
Let's take them out to the Field and have fun!!
