Build up Axial Super Class XR10! Part 2!
I have finished building the axles, so I am going to make chassis and links and so on! My concept of this Super XR10 are compact, narrow treads and wide tires! I have no idea my super could run like the cutting edge rigs or not.... No time to think, so lets start!!
Wheelbase, images of the link setup is in progress!
I cut the servo mount plate so that I can choose where to put the lower links!
Keep on building! Lower links are on the axles!
This is my original dd chassis, dd = Double Deck!
Use brake cleaner to pear off the template.
Yes! my lower chassis is done cutting from carbon plate!
Trying to put lower links, make sure that the wheelbase is within the regulation!
I think its good, so start cutting the upper deck!
Yes, looks really nice! I cut holes on the upper deck, lighter the better!
Bending the lower links! Using wire cutter, big one!
Start building shocks, No one can believe, but I am using SCX10 shocks for the super!
Addition, I am going to install plastic shock body too!
Putting the rodend to the shock cap!
For the lower side, I am using Traxxas rodends! They are so good!
Yes, shocks are almost done!
Yes, looks really great!
I am marking the dot to the Vanquish Titanium links!
Flatten first, drill hole! Vanquish titanium are so strong, so drill slow and use oil not to burn out!
Tapping the screw, man, this is toughest things I have to do with this rig! 4 holes, I became so tired, so went to sleep that night!
For the light weight lovers, my complete chassis weights only 46g! include all the hardware and even body mounts!
Now, front and rear axle are connected to the chassis!
Yes, now I have to adjust shock stroke and little things. ESC and receiver. Next episode will run!! I think....
