Traxxas TRX-4 Mods! Installing Snorkel Gurad from CC Hand!

Series of modifying the Traxxas TRX-4!
 This time, I will add some details to safari snorkel! It does good look already, but add some details makes more realistic!

1. Stock Safari Snorkel
 Nothing special, but there are no hole, that means, wont work. I know it doenst work, but didnt want it to be like this.

2. Open Snorkel Guard from package!
This Snorkel Guard is configured with rubber outer and metal edging parts. When you cut the metal parts from base, better not to take rubber sheet before you cut it!

3. All done! Easy!
 Installed...... but obvious that there are no hole to take air into it. not realistic at all....

4. Close up!
 You can see....So I decided to drill hole to the snorkel!

5. Take snorkel off from body!
 I am going to dig hole to snorkel!

6. Do work!!
 Drilling the hole! This snorkel is made from firm rubber, so easy to drill!

Done! Need to take off all these burr.

7. Burr all done!
 I used cutter and scissors to take all machined edges!

8. Install again!
  All went so great, but I failed to take good picture of it...sorry!

9. All done great!
 I didnt paint edging parts, because metal looks great details to the rig!



My TRX-4 looking great! I am having fun adding details to it!
