02 Axial Wraith Modification!

Axial Wraith's servo is pretty strong! Sometimes, the power of all the electric parts dies because of the servo take all power. even receiver wont have enough power and will loose control. I decided to install Castle Creations CCBEC10A to my Wraith and have stable power source!
Anyway, I will need to re-wiring some, so I did little bit mods to the Wraith wiring. I didnt want to hang around the battery connector in the interior, so I let them go under the interior!

*Take off the hood!
Hood is hold with 4 screws and you can easily take off using 1.5 Hex driver.


*This is what you see under the hood!
Clean install, tuber flames are really nice!! center of the flame, there are radio box, I will open and put CCBEC10A into it!!


*Opening the radio box!!
I wanted to keep the water proof rig, so I am going to put CCBEC10A into the radio box!


*Castle Creations CCBEC10A is in!
Very small receiver and light control circuit board are in the radio box, but there are enough space to put CCBEC10A in!


*Cut the power from the ESC!
You will need to cut the power from ESC because there are no longer needed. You can use xacto to lift the nail of the BEC pull out, shrink if you want to keep original shape. You will also need to plug CCBEC10A's BEC connector to the receiver. Empty slot is where you can plug, place dont matter.


*I decided to close the antenna hole!
I didnt want to put antenna pole to my Wraith, so I closed the antenna hole with corking material. Really easy!


*Wiring the CCBEC10 power cable.
You will need to wire the CCBEC10A power cables solder to the ESC power cables. "Third hand" will work really good when you try to solder. Also, you can use pliers + rubber band works really good too!


*Extend the ESC power cables!
It was difficult to wire the power cable under the interior because it was too short, So I used Novak Super Flex Silicon Cable series 14G to extend the power cables, I also used Novak Lead Free Silver Solder 100g to solder the wires!!


*All done baby!
I finished wiring the Castle Creations CCBEC10A and also the extend the power cable + go under the interior looks really good!


*About the Batteries:
Picture shown below is the about the size of 2 Cells 6600mA battery. You might can go more, but the I feel this is the limit of the size I want to put it on. 3 Cells 5000mA might works good too!
