Crawler Innovations was the first to develop a dual stage foam for the USRCCA Class 1 - Super Class competition rc rock crawlers. This Super Nova Dual Stage foam is CNC cut from the same proven densities we use in our popular Double Deuce Nova Foam line. These Super Nova foams are CNC cut from conventional open cell foam and they are not temperature sensitive. Once cut, they are then glued together using a commercial grade, foam specific glue.
We are now offering more foam options for this Super Size Foam. C.I. now has both medium & firm inners, as well as soft & medium outers. We have also learned that narrowed wheels need a narrower foam. If your wheels are 2" or less in width, please order the 2.00" width inners. If your super is very heavy (9 pounds or heavier), you may want to start with full width inners. If you are running cut n shut pin tires, C.I. recommends a medium inner & outer front and rear.
These foams were designed for use in custom "cut n shut" super class tires such as enlarged Hot Bodies Sedonas or Rovers. They will fit any manufacture's tire that measures 7.5" inches tall and 2.25" wide. The inner foam will fit 3.8 wheels or 40 series wheels and will stretch to fit 115mm HPI Blast & XTM Thorn wheels.
