This is the first 6.0" tall dual stage foam to be made for RC rock crawlers. It is based off the 5.5 Tall Double Deuce Nova Foam Line by Crawler Innovations. This 6.0 Double Deuce foam is die cut from conventional open cell foam and is not temperature sensitive.
The way that Crawler Innovations achieves the 6.0" Tall height is by adding tuning rings to the 5.5" Tall Double Deuce inner and outer Nova Foam. The tuning rings are 1/4 thick which means each ring adds approximately .500" of height to a standard 5.5" tall Double Deuce Nova Foam. We have a tuning ring for both the 5.5" inner foam and the 5.5 outer foam in different densities. What that means is that 3 and 4 stage 2.2 foams are now possible! Now you can mix and match the inners and outers in any density.
The standard 6.0 has a firm inner foam and soft outer foam just like the standard 5.5 Double Deuce Nova Foams. They are designed to fit custom made, cut n shut, 6" tall, 2.2 tires made by Crawler Innovations.
